Housing and Employment Relationship <br />Given the increasing cost of housing in the City and the make-up of the City's job market, high housing costs are likely an obstacle to non- <br />residents who work in Hugo. However, it is not known if these workers would move to Hugo if more affordable housing were available in the City. <br />Given today's high employment rates, providing more housing affordable to Hugo workers could aid businesses in attracting and keeping workers <br />needed to keep Hugo businesses profitable and in the City. Consequently, the City should work with Hugo businesses to find ways to promote <br />affordable housing to maintain a healthy business climate. <br />Subsidized housing units <br />Mueller Manor Senior Housing development is the only place -based housing development that provides income restricted housing in Hugo. <br />However, there are opportunities for residents to used Housing Choice (Section 8) vouchers in the City.
