DRAFT Dec 14-17
for review only
Regional Amenities
In addition to the City parks and open space, other government, private clubs, and non -profits play a critica
role in providing open space, facilities, and programs to Hugo residents and surrounding communities.
These facilities supplement the amenities provided by the City Parks system, including space for
tournaments, sporting practice and larger community events and open space that act as nature preserves
and provide opportunities for outdoor recreation in nature. Regional parks areas have regional significance
because they draw visitors from within the City and from the surrounding areas. The City does not have
direct control over the future of these park and recreation areas since they are not owned by the City.
Table 6-3 Regional Amenities in Hugo
Paul Hugo Farms Wildlife 360
State Conservatory
Management Area
Area
Oneka Boat Launch 1
State Public Lake
Access
Wild Wings of Oneka 529
Privately Owned and
Managed
Oneka Ridge Golf Course 154
Privately Owned and
Managed
Hunting, Hiking, Fishing Dock
Walk-in access to Oneka Lake, parking
Hunting, Shooting
Golf Course
Bald Eagle Sportsmen's 79 Privately Owned and Archery, Shooting, Trapping
Association Managed
Total Acreage 361
j-* D DRA'F7"ljeP49q H-17
ULU O 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATEry,,tell PARKS , TRAILS AND OPEAWIN6E 12,E
for
forergYaV iionly
