Existing Public Facilities Inventory <br />Map 12-A (City Owned Buildings and Land) identifies all <br />City -owned buildings and land. <br />Hugo City Hall <br />14669 Fitzgerald Avenue North <br />The Hugo City Hall is located in the heart of downtown across from <br />Lions Park. The facility was built in 2002 and is approximately 11,000 <br />square feet in size. The facility includes office space for most of the <br />city departments, including administration, community development, <br />finance and engineering. City Hall also includes the Council <br />Chambers and a community gathering space known as the Oneka <br />Room. Hugo City Hall has additional space within the facility reserved <br />for future employees. <br />J -!`I GO 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE <br />Public Works Building/Rice Lake Community Center <br />6900 137th Street North <br />The Public Works Facility was built in 2005. It is approximately 25,000 <br />square feet in size and serves as the headquarters for the City's public <br />works operations. The building is made up of office space, a large <br />garage for the City's vehicle fleet and heavy equipment, and also <br />includes a large public facility known as the Rice Lake Community <br />Center. <br />Hanifl Shelter <br />7032 137th Street North <br />Hanifl Shelter was built in 2010 and is made up of 1,900 square feet <br />of indoor building space and a 1,400 square foot outdoor pavilion. <br />The shelter is located within Hanifl Fields Athletic Park, which began <br />construction in 2008. The shelter provides a variety of amenities such <br />as indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, rest rooms, a concession <br />stand, and storage for the park. <br />DRAFT Dec 14-17 <br />for review only <br />Hugo Fire Hall <br />5323140th Street North <br />The Hugo Fire Hall is centrally located in the City next to the <br />Bald Eagle Industrial Park. The facility was built in 1999 and is <br />approximately 10,000 square feet in size. This building provides <br />storage space for fire equipment and vehicles and also includes office <br />space for fire department and police staff. The Hugo Fire Hall serves <br />all areas within Hugo City limits. <br />Walker Cemetery <br />Walker Cemetery (formerly called Brisson Cemetery) is a 0.21 -acre <br />site in eastern Hugo. The cemetery was established prior to 1900 an <br />is believed to be the final resting place of at least one, and possibly <br />three, Civil War veterans. <br />PUBLIIC FACILITIES 286 <br />
