City of Hugo <br />Position Title: Administrative Captain <br />Department: Hugo Fire Department <br />Immediate Supervisor's Title: Fire Chief <br />Pay Grade: Part-time/Paid on -call <br />Salary: $2750.00 <br />Purpose <br />Perform duties essential to the Fire Department <br />Organizational Relationships <br />Reports to: Chief Officers <br />Communicate with: Fire Department Officers, Firefighters, and other city staff <br />Supervise: Lieutenant <br />Receives work assignments from: Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief <br />Essential Duties / Responsibilities <br />The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as <br />exclusive or all inclusive; other duties may be required or assigned. <br />Essential Functions <br />• All essential functions of a Firefighter's position <br />• All essential functions of a Lieutenant's position <br />• Schedule all community events the Department participates in <br />• Maintain attendance records at community events <br />• Maintain any other Administrative records as needed <br />• Complete any other Administrative duties as directed by the Chief <br />• Act as incident commander in the absence a Chief Officer <br />• Act as a representative of the Fire Department at community events <br />• Attend 60% of all Fire and Rescue Training, and 60% of all Fire Department <br />Work Drills <br />• Attain the established attendance percentage needed to be in good standing with the Fire <br />Department <br />Other Functions <br />• Submit annually a year-end report to the Chief detailing the Department's involvement <br />in community events <br />• Attend required meetings that are over and above those required of a Lieutenant or <br />Firefighter <br />
