Generally, these activities will be considered as part of the annual budget process. 51.0 Hugo Fire Department Conference Pay Current members of the Hugo Fire Department shall be compensated for each full day (eight hours) of a recognized Fire or EMS organization sponsored conference attended. Approval must be received from the Fire Chief, or their designee, prior to registering for the conference. The maximum compensation rate for an all -day conference will be approved yearly as part of the salarX resolution. Conferences lasting less than eight hours will be prorated by Quarter of a day. Compensation for approved conferences attended will be paid to members with payroll the month following the conference.
