Minutes <br /> I <br /> Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br /> Meeting of December 19, 2018 <br /> Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br /> Present: Dave Strub, Roger Clarke, Shawn Haag, Cathy Moore—Arcand, Matt Rauschendorfer, Ranell <br /> Tennyson <br /> Absent: Nicole Schmid <br /> Staff Present: Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br /> Debi Close,Secretary <br /> Strub called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> 1. Approval of Minutes frorn the November 14, 2018 Meeting; <br /> Tennyson made a motion, Moore—Arcand seconded to approve the minutes of the November 14, 2018 <br /> Parks Commission meeting. <br /> All Aye. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 2. 2019 Goal Setting; <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner reviewed the 2018 Goals of the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space <br /> Commission. The Commission discussed goals for 2019 including: <br /> Manage and optimize all existing parks and trails, develop a network of multipurpose trails by connecting to <br /> neighborhoods parks and open spaces, utilize facilities to provide active and passive recreation, <br /> strengthen/build partnerships while evaluating existing programs and exploring new options, include <br /> programing to meet the diverse needs of Hugo residents, review the Lions Park master plan and feasibility <br /> study, evaluate vegetation management at Clearwater Creek Preserve and Irish Avenue Park, and actively <br /> utilize the Comprehensive plan. <br /> Moore—Arcand made a motion, Clarke seconded to approve the 2019 Goals as written. <br /> All Aye. Motion Carried <br />
