Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for February 4, 2019 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />Weidt make motion, Miron seconded, to approve moving forward with the marketing flyer on <br />the Hopkins schoolhouse. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Update on Yellow Ribbon Network <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein reported to Council on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />activities held recently. The Council was provided financial reports from the YRN treasurer <br />showing a significant amount of help was given over the year. In January, the YRN received a <br />request from a disabled Forest Lake veteran for mortgage assistance, which was fulfilled by Forest <br />Lake VFW gambling proceeds. They partnered with the YRN of Washington County to help a <br />soldier that needed financial assistance. The YRN helped a military member get a new washing <br />machine and assisted a solider with moving their residence. January's Burger Night was sponsored <br />by Lake Area Bank, and February's sponsor is the Bald Eagle Sportsman Association. Haas shared <br />a picture of employees who did a packaging event led by the folks from Ship Thrifty. <br />Legislative Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, February 9, 2019 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council State Legislators Senator Roger Chamberlain <br />and Representative Linda Runbeck had scheduled a Town Hall Meeting for Saturday, February <br />9, 2019, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. This meeting was intended to be a listening session. <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a meeting to attend the Legislative Town Hall <br />Meeting on February 9, 2019. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />HBA Breakfast/Mayor State of the City Address on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council the Hugo Area Business Association was <br />hosting a Business Networking Breakfast at the Blue Heron Grill on Tuesday, February 12, <br />2019, from 7:30-9:00 a.m. which was to include Mayor Weidt's State of the City Address. <br />Petryk made motion, Miron seconded, to schedule a meeting to attend the Business Networking <br />Breakfast on February 12, 2019. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Cancel Second Meeting in February Due to President's Day Holiday on February 18, 2109 <br />Annually, the President's Day Holiday falls on the same day as the second Council meeting in <br />February and would need to be rescheduled. City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council <br />that staff did not anticipate any items for that meeting agenda, and he recommended Council <br />cancel their meeting on February 18, 2019. <br />
