SUNDAY SALES <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo is allowed to permit Sunday Sales of alcohol- <br />ic beverages between the hours of 8 a.m. on Sundays and 2 a.m. on Mondays <br />by State Statute 340A.504 HOURS AND DAYS OF SALE, Subd. 3 Intoxicating <br />liquor; Sunday sales; on sale; and, <br />THE CITY OF HUGO ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Hugo does hereby amend <br />Chapter 6 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, Section 6-54 (e) On -Sale Sunday Li- <br />censes to read: <br />(e) On -sale Sunday licenses. A special on -sale license for the sale of li- <br />quor on Sundays may only be issued to a restaurant holding a regular on -sale <br />license. The restaurant eligible for on -sale Sunday liquor license shall meet <br />the.requirements for a restaurant as defined in Minn. Stats. § 340A.101. Sales <br />will be allowed on Sundays during the hours as authorized by Minn. Stats. § <br />340A.504, Sub.3. <br />SECTION 2. Severability. In the event that a court of competent jurisdic- <br />tion adjudges any part of this Ordinance to be invalid, such judgment shall not <br />affect any other provision of.this Ordinance not specifically included with that <br />judgment. <br />SECTION 3. Effective Date.
