CITY OF HUGO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-15 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR THE EAST CEDAR STREET & 24TH AVENUE/ELMCREST AVENUE NORTH <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo and the City of Lino Lakes entered into a Joint Powers Agreement <br />to complete roadway improvements on 20 Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue from Tart Lake Road to <br />the south a distance of 2,300 feet, and East Cedar Street from Otter Lake Road to the east a <br />distance of 2,600 feet; and <br />WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement outlines that the East Cedar Street improvements are <br />the financial responsibility of the City of Lino Lakes and the 24th Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue <br />improvements are the financial responsibility of the City of Hugo; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is ordering the project finding that it would be in the best interest of <br />the City to proceed with the preparation of plans and specifications; and <br />WHEREAS, WSB is the City Engineer for both the City of Hugo and Lino Lakes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of The City of Hugo: <br />1. Authorizes the Preparation of the Plans and Specifications for the East Cedar Street <br />& 24h Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue North Improvement Project. <br />2. WSB and Associates are designated as the engineer for this improvement and directed <br />to prepare plans and specifications for the East Cedar Street & 24th Avenue/Elmcrest <br />Avenue Improvement Project. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Hugo this 1St day of April, 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Miron and was duly seconded by Council Member Petryk and upon vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt <br />The following voted against same: None <br />_ 7 � <br />Tom Weidt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
