Identify any other partners and their roles such as land owners, realtors, developers, <br />consultants, and regulating/permitting agencies, etc. (if applicable): <br />At this time there are currently no identified partners involved in the project. <br />7. How will the proposed project and/or activities promote or increase future <br />commercial/industrial market values in the city/township/county (please identify your goals <br />for increased commercial and industrial property tax base as a result of the proposed <br />activities and describe how you will measure success)? <br />The Hopkins Schoolhouse is located on an important travel corridor off Highway 61 and 170th <br />Street North. It is currently designated as a future urban service area, likely to develop when <br />sewer and water are available. The cities 2040 Plan has the property designated for Mixed Use. <br />The historic schoolhouse will act as a draw to the surrounding area future businesses as the area <br />develops. <br />8. How will the proposed project and/or activities promote or increase future employment <br />opportunities in the city/township/county (please identify your job and wage goals as a <br />result of the proposed activities and describe how you will measure success)? <br />Once access to sewer and water are available, future development will bring more businesses <br />to the area. An established business in a historic structure will assist in making the area more <br />attractive to these potential businesses. <br />9. Please provide detailed project timeline with all actions, phases, and anticipated dates for <br />completion (when will the activities/studies be complete)? <br />The project includes three tasks: <br />a. Phase I ESA <br />b. Asbestos and Regulated Material Survey <br />c. Land Survey <br />Task 1 is the Phase I ESA that includes a historic records review, interviews with Site <br />representatives, Site recommosense, and a summarization of the results of the Phase I ESA in the <br />final document report. Task 2 is an Asbestos and Regulated Materials Survey that will perform <br />asbestos and lead -based sampling, an inventory of regulated materials that may require special <br />handling and/or disposal prior to demolition or renovation. The final document will include a <br />summarization of Task 2. Task 3 will be a general land survey of the property including a <br />topographic survey and a boundaries survey. <br />10. Describe why the development or redevelopment study, report or plan is needed and why <br />the property is not likely to develop through the normal private sector process? <br />The City of Hugo is pursuing this grant to fund an Environmental and Survey Services <br />Assessment on the Hopkins Schoolhouse due to a lack of funds. <br />
