Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for April 15, 2019 <br />Page 2 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />Presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to Forest Lake High School Students <br /> <br />Council Member Haas presented Certificates of Appreciation to Forest Lake High School <br />Students Tayler Williamson and Mikayla Whitehill for their volunteer efforts supporting the <br />Yellow Ribbon Network. Tayler and Mikayla organized a packing event at the Forest Lake High <br />School. They collected coffee and money for postage. He shared a “thank you” note from one of <br />the units who received a care package. <br /> <br />Approval of the Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Klein made motion,, Petrky seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />1. Approval of Claims <br />2. Approve Scope of Work for Public Works Facilities Study <br />3. Approve Special Event Permit for New Life Church Summer and Fall Events <br />4. Approve Extension of Site Plan and Variances for Multifeeder Technology in the Bald <br />Eagle Industrial Park <br />5. Approve Matt Drew as Safety Lieutenant on the Hugo Fire Department <br />6. Approve Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit for MSOLE at the Hugo Legion on June 9, 2019 <br />7. Approve Resolution Approving Application for CDA Grant for Hopkins Schoolhouse <br />8. Approve Wetland Replacement Plan for Rosemary Apartments <br />th <br />9. Approve Wetland Replacement Plan for 165 Street Solar Farm <br />rd <br />10. Approve Resolutions Approving Oneka Place 3 Addition Final Plat and Development <br />Agreement <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Approval of Claims <br /> <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br /> <br />Approve Scope of Work for Public Works Facilities Study <br /> <br />With direction from the City Council’s goals and priorities, City staff had solicited proposals for a <br />Public Works Department building space needs study. City Administrator Bryan Bear, Public <br />Works Director Scott Anderson, and Lead Worker Mike Loeffler met with several firms <br />experienced in site and building planning and design. After comparing three proposals based on <br />price, experience, and references, staff had recommended acceptance of the proposal submitted by <br />Jeffery Oertel of Oertel Architects in the amount of $12,500. Oertel Architects has extensive <br />experience in the planning and design of public works facilities and understood the needs of a <br />Public Works Department. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the acceptance of the <br />proposal submitted by Jeffery Oertel of Oertel Architects in the amount of $12,500. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
