Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for April 15, 2019 <br />Page 8 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Haas reiterated the items that needed to be addressed: parking, park needs, and the roundabout. <br />He talked about how projects are made better due to issues raised by citizens. <br /> <br />Miron agreed with Haas and wanted to make mention of the petition. He stated that he wanted <br />those concerns addressed, but in light of what the attorney said, the conditions for the request <br />have been met. <br /> <br />Ayes: Miron, Haas, Petryk, Klein, Weidt <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Miron seconded, to approve RESOLUTION 2019-20 APPROVING A <br />SITE PLAN AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR MWF PROPERTIES FOR AN <br />APARTMENT BUILDING ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF ROSEMARY WAY <br />AND WEST OF EVERTON AVENUE NORTH. <br /> <br />Ayes: Haas, Petryk, Klein, Miron, Weidt <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to directed staff to set up a Council workshop with <br />Rosemary Way Villas HOA to talk about options for parks and other recreational areas and the <br />roundabout. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Weidt made motion Miron seconded, to direct staff to analyze parking on Rosemary Way and <br />come back with a recommendation, and address semi traffic leaving Festival Foods. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Weidt called for a five-minute recess. <br /> <br />Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br /> <br />Council Members Chuck Haas and Phil Klein updated the Council on the activities of the Yellow <br />Ribbon Network to date. Haas showed photos of cards the Girl Scouts sent to the troops with <br />cookies. He talked about Minnesota National Guard State Chaplain Buddy Winn’s annual <br />Christmas show where he mentioned the command hooks the YRN had sent all over. The YRN <br />received a memorial donation of $500 and company donations from volunteers. The Council of <br />Catholic Women raised over $2,000 in a bake sale and sent the YRN a check for $300. They <br />st <br />recently held the Welcome Home Pheasant hunt for 851 Vertical Engineering Company. Wild <br />Wings donated an additional 85 pheasants to the soldiers along with pheasant recipes. The YRN <br />assisted a solider with medical issues. Burger night this month will be hosted by the Washington <br />County Sheriff’s Office. The American Legion mistakenly scheduled their open house for the <br />kitchen that night, which they will be rescheduling. <br /> <br />
