Motion carried. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes for the April 25, 2019, East Metro Water Workshop <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the minutes for the East Metro Water Resource <br />Education Program Workshop held on April 25, 2019, as presented. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Approval of the Agenda <br /> <br />Weidt made motion, Haas Klein ,seconded, to approve the agenda as amended by removing the <br />Sheriff Department’s Annual Report from Appointments and Presentations and adding approval <br />of a Temporary Liquor License for the Lions Club. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Donation to Yellow Ribbon Network – Bayport Gambling Manager Kelly Green <br /> <br />The Bayport American Legion conducts gambling at Sal’s Angus Grill. Members of the Hugo <br />Yellow Ribbon work during Bingo at Sal’s by selling meat raffle tickets. Bayport Legion <br />Gambling Manager Kelly Green presented a donation of $4,500 from raffle proceeds to the <br />Yellow Ribbon Network. Council Member Haas thanked the Bayport Legion, Sal’s, and Barb <br />Connelly for her organization in making the meat raffles happen. <br /> <br />Presentation of Commissioners Award - Commissioner Miron <br /> <br />Washington County Commissioner Fran Miron presented the Commissioners Award to Council <br />Member Becky Petryk for her work on the Transportation Advisory Board on behalf of <br />Washington County. Petryk served over ten years on the 32-member TAB, many years alongside <br />Commissioner Miron. Commissioner Miron explained their concern that the County would not <br />receive a fair distribution of regional funding under the solicitation process. Petryk stepped up to <br />defend a fairer scenario resulting in additional funding for the County. The County was to receive <br />$500,000, but instead received $5 million. Petryk stated she was able to make the case due to very <br />valuable data she received from City staff and the County. <br /> <br />Good Neighbor Days – Lions Members Dan Balthazor <br /> <br />thth <br />The Hugo Good Neighbor Days Festival will be held Thursday, June 6 - Sunday, June 9in <br />Lions Park. The Hugo Lions Club will run the event similar to past years to include a parade, <br />music, food, beer garden, petting zoo, carnival rides, and fireworks. Lions Member Dan <br />Balthazor explained they would be adding an additional petting zoo, additional band, bean bag <br />tournament, vendor craft fair, and they were working on getting inflatables for the kids. Lions <br />Member Jason Schwieger talked about the addition of “Rib Fest” cook-off with meat being <br /> <br />
