<br />Minutes <br /> <br />HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br />PARKS FUNDING WORKSHOP <br /> <br />MONDAY, MAY 13, 2019 <br />7 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />City Council <br />PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, and Weidt <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Parks Commission <br />PRESENT: Moore-Arcand, Rauschendorfer, Strub, and Tennyson <br />ABSENT: Haag, Schmidt, Clark <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br />Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br />Ron Otkin, Finance Director <br />Anna Wobse, Finance Coordinator <br />Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br />Rachel Juba, Community Development Director <br />Paul Steinman, Bakertilly, City Financial Advisor <br /> <br />The workshop called to order by Mayor Weidt at 7 P.M. <br /> <br />The Hugo City Council and Parks Commission held a parks funding workshop to discuss funding <br />of Community Parks. Shayla Denaway presented the background on City parks and master plans <br />that have been created. Paul Steinman provided information on how cities can fund park <br />improvements and survey opportunities. The City Council and Parks Commission discussed parks <br />usage, phasing and prioritizing of park improvements, and funding options. The Parks <br />Commission agreed to have further discussions about prioritizing park improvements and wanted <br />to better understand the costs of the improvements.
