RESOLUTION NO. 2019 — <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND RECOMMENDING LINO LAKES REJECT <br />ALL BIDS FOR THE EAST CEDAR STREET & 24TH AVENUE/ELMCREST AVENUE <br />NORTH IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Hugo and City Council of Lino Lakes entered onto a Joint <br />Powers Agreement to Complete this project, and, <br />WHEREAS, both Councils previously directed the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the <br />above -referenced project, and <br />WHEREAS, bids were publicly received and opened on August 15, 2019, and, <br />WHEREAS, City of Lino Lakes has agreed to enter into contract to complete this project if the <br />bids are acceptable to both cities; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hugo, <br />Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. All bids for the construction of the Cedar Street & 24t' Avenue/Elmcrest Avenue <br />Improvement Project have been received and are tabulated on the attached <br />summary. <br />2. The bids presented are all significantly above the Engineer's Estimate. <br />3. The Bid is deemed unacceptable to the City of Hugo, and the City of Hugo <br />recommends that Lino Lakes reject all bids and re -advertise and rebid this project. <br />4.
