A2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE DRAFT Dec14-17 <br />for review only <br />DRAFT Dec14-17 <br />for review only <br />Chapter 12 <br />Public Facilities Plan <br />The purpose of this chapter is to evaluate the need for City-owned <br />facilities� This chapter will not include facilities that are covered in <br />other plan chapters such as park facilities, water treatment plants or <br />water towers� <br />Facilities owned by the City and other government agencies provide <br />vital services to the community� These facilities vary in size, function <br />and condition and are maintained by their operating body� In order <br />to understand how these facilities serve the community, the City <br />undertook an inventory to identify their current function and condition� <br />This inventory was completed with the assistance of those that <br />maintain each of these facilities� <br />Although this inventory includes public facilities owned by other <br />governmental units and semi-public facilities, such as churches and <br />schools, the City did not evaluate the future needs for those facilities�
