OUR BUSINESS IS BUILDING YOURS
LaMACCHIA
GROUP
August 22, 2019
RACHEL JUBA & EMILY WEBER
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
CITY OF HUGO — MINNESOTA
14669 Fitzgerald Ave. N., Hugo, MN 55038
651.762.6304
Attachment 4
RE: HEARTLAND CREDIT UNION — ELEMENTS OF FRENCH ARCHITECTURE USED
IN THE SUBMITTED DESIGN
Dear Ms. Juba & Ms. Webber:
On behalf of Heartland Credit Union, La Macchia Group, LLC is submitting this letter to
explain elements of French Architecture used in the submitted design.
Staying within the development standards Victor Gardens Marketplace Shopping Center, we
have incorporated the following elements of French design elements into the new Heartland
Credit Union Branch. Within the French style, we have been able to incorporate the branded
identity of Heartland Credit Union through material pallet that is previously established by
the Credit Union in the operations center design. We have found the French Style and their
existing material fit together seamlessly.
The building design pulls from elements of Provincial Architecture. Provincial Architecture
pulls from a style or rural France which seems to be where most of the surrounding
properties have pulled from. Elements are of Provincial Architecture are as follows:
• Hipped Roof Design (mansard roof) - We have provided this element to be the
base of our roof line that is the background of all the other elements of distinction of
the building. Steep roof elements are also a distinct feature of Provincial architecture,
all roof pitches are 12:12.
Masud 1001 Baso
PLAN,r DESIGN* BUILD * BEYOND
157 North Milwaukee Strut
Mihraukee, Wisconsin 53202
T 414,223,4400 F 414,223.4488
www.lamacchiagroup.com
