RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT AND <br />SETTING THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE <br />2020 GOODVIEW AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted October 21, 2019, a report was prepared <br />by WSB. with reference to the improvement of Goodview Avenue from the southern City border to <br />Egg Lake Road (137th Street/County Road 8; and <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to include reclaiming the existing bituminous pavement, minor subgrade <br />corrections, minor drainage improvements, and bituminous paving along Goodview Avenue from the <br />southern City border to Egg Lake Road (137th Street/County Road 8 and to assess benefited <br />properties for all or a portion of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the City Engineer that said street improvements <br />are feasible, and should best be made as proposed, and the City Engineer's report to this effect has <br />heretofore been received by Council, and filed with the City Clerk on January 6th, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it necessary and expedient that the City of Hugo, Minnesota, <br />construct certain improvements, to -wit: 2020 Goodview Avenue Improvement Project, in the City as <br />described in and in accordance with the feasibility report prepared by the City Engineer; and <br />WHEREAS, the statute provided that no such improvements shall be made until the Council has <br />held a public hearing on such improvements following mailed notice and two publications thereof in <br />the official newspaper stating time and place of the hearing, the general nature of the improvement, <br />the estimated costs thereof, and the area proposed to be assessed, in accordance with the law; and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hugo that the public <br />hearing be scheduled to consider 2020 Goodview Avenue Improvement Project, to be held on <br />Monday, February 3, 2020, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, at Hugo City Hall, <br />14669 Fitzgerald Avenue North. <br />Council members voting AYE: <br />Council members voting NAY: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 6th day of January 2020. <br />Tom Weidt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
