Yes
Business Agent:
Address:
City: Zip Code:
E-mail:
Phone:
Federal Tax ID: 41-0954838
Project Description:
Master Planning Project: The trail feasibility study would assess a potential environmental change by identifying a pedestrian trail suitable for biking
and walking for numerous demographics between the residential neighborhoods along Goodview Avenue where there is an existing gap. This gap
currently prohibits residents from safely connecting to the Hardwood Creek Regional Trail to the west (via the sidewalk on Egg Lake Road), Diamond
Point Park to the north, and Hanifl Fields Athletic Park to the east (via future trail). This trail would promote physical activity for all ages in a much safer
environment than is currently the case, where pedestrians currently have to utilize the same road as vehicular traffic. If the trail is deemed feasible,
30% plans will be drafted. This includes support documentation defining the trail type, location, construction techniques and impacts, along with
planning level cost estimation for future implementation. This would provide the City of Hugo the ability to implement the trail through a capital
improvement plan or in conjunction with planned road improvement projects. The plan may even guide additional trail improvements with future
development projects.
Active Living Equipment Project: The City of Hugo has a population of over 15,000 residents and a mix of suburban and rural landscapes. There are
over 406 acres of park land and 14 miles of trails. As a developing community, the trail and sidewalk network continues to expand and be better
connected. In the fall of 2017, the City of Hugo conducted a survey of existing neighborhood parks/trails and identified areas that needed improvement.
This partner project would assist with providing needed trail benches as identified in the survey.
