PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE: <br /> <br />At its October 10, 2019 meeting, the Planning Commission considered the site plan and PUD <br />amendment applications submitted by LaMacchia Group and held a public hearing. Staff provided <br />background on the request and recommended approval. No one spoke at the public hearing. The <br />Commission agreed that the request met the criteria necessary to approve the applications and <br />recommended approval of the resolution for the variance request to the City Council. <br /> <br />2. DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br /> <br />LaMacchia Group, on behalf of Heartland Credit Union, is requesting site plan approval and a <br />PUD amendment for a 2,470 square foot retail bank branch building. The 0.91 acre lot is located <br />on the corner of Victor Hugo Boulevard North and Frenchman Road and is within the Victor <br />Gardens North Village development <br /> <br />3. BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />The Victor Gardens development was originally approved in 2000 and set commercial <br />development standards within the development. In 2007, United Properties Investment, LLC <br />gained approval for a preliminary plat, a PUD amendment, and final plat for Victor Gardens North <br />th <br />Village 4 Addition for a restaurant and bank located on Outlot B of the Victor Gardens North <br />plat. The Blue Heron Grill currently occupies Lot 2, while Lot 3 remains vacant. In December <br />2007, M&I Bank gained PUD final plan approval for a 5,112 square foot retail bank, however, no <br />building was constructed. <br /> <br />
