Request for Site Plan and Conditional Use <br />Permit for Apple Academy (PID 29-031-21-22-0008, 29-031-21-22-0006) <br />(City File 19-011) <br />DATE: May 30, 2019 for the City Council Meeting on June 3, 2019 <br />REVIEW DEADLINE: July 22, 2019 <br />1.DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a site plan and conditional use permit to allow <br />construction of a 9,948 square foot daycare facility on the property. The two properties <br />will be combined at Washington County to create one parcel for the daycare facility. <br />The applicant is also seeking approval of an easement vacation. The easement vacation <br />is scheduled for a public hearing at the June 3rd Council meeting. <br />2.PLANNING COMMISSION REVIEW: <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the Site Plan and Conditional Use Permit at a public <br />hearing at their May 23, 2019 meeting. <br />Other than the applicant, there was no one present to speak on this item. The <br />Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval. <br />3.CONTEXT: <br />A.Surrounding Land Use and Zoning <br />The property is guided Commercial (COM) and zoned General Business (C-2). <br />The properties to the north and south are guided Commercial and zoned General <br />Business (C-2). The property to the east is guided Medium Density Residential and <br />zoned Low Density Multiple Family Residential (R-4). The property to west, across <br />Highway 61, is guided Industrial (IND) and zoned General Industrial (I-3).
