RESOLUTION 2020 - 46 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING CARES FUNDING BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, the coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted national, state, and local economies; and <br />WHEREAS, Congress has passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act <br />that established a $150 billion Coronavirus Relief Fund to help offset the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on <br />state, local and tribal governments; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has passed through a portion of its distribution to local governments <br />to assist with funding expenditures incurred due to the COVID-19 public health emergency; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has received $1,148,713 from this pass through distribution to partially fund <br />COVID-19 related expenditures incurred between March 1, 2020 and November 15, 2020. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that the following sums of money be allocated <br />from the CARES funding received in the current year: <br />Budget <br />Soft Costs <br />Police Services <br />$ <br />700,373 <br />Fire and Rescue Services <br />$ <br />249,640 <br />Staff Reassignment <br />$ <br />85,000 <br />$ <br />1,035,013 <br />Hard Costs <br />Telework Upgrades <br />$ <br />45,000 <br />Audio/Video Upgrades <br />$ <br />21,000 <br />Building and HVAC Upgrades <br />$ <br />15,000 <br />On -Line Permitting Software and Programming <br />$ <br />11,100 <br />Single Audit Costs <br />$ <br />6,000 <br />Personal Protection Equipment <br />$ <br />6,000 <br />Fire Station Credentialing System <br />$ <br />3,100 <br />Public Communications <br />$ <br />3,000 <br />Sanitizing Supplies <br />$ <br />2,500 <br />Election Supplies <br />$ <br />1,000 <br />Donations <br />$ <br />- <br />Business Grants <br />$ <br />- <br />$ <br />113,700 <br />Total CARES Budget $ 1,148,713 <br />Upon roll call, the following members voting AYE: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt <br />Upon roll call, the following members voting NAY: None <br />r <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 3rd of Aug st, 20. <br />Toth Weidt, Mayor <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
