Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for September 8, 2020 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Weidt seconded, to approve ORDINANCE 2020-501 RELATING TO <br />AND REGULATING TARGETED PICKETING IN RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOODS <br />IN THE CITY OF HUGO along with the PowerPoint and presentation. <br /> <br />Roll call vote – all ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Yellow Ribbon Network Report <br /> <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Council Member Phil Klein reported to Council on the Yellow <br />Ribbon Network activities held recently. A care package event was held with the help of the Sam <br />Leedom family. Jeff Hanzal of Hanzal Construction responded to a frantic need from a family to get <br />door replaced. Barb Connolly and Marilyn Stromberg re-did the display in the City Hall entryway <br />featuring the YRN. Pheasant hunts are being planned for October and December, and a youth hunt <br />will take place in the beginning of October. <br /> <br />Midyear Budget Workshop on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council a midyear budget workshop had been scheduled for <br />Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 4 p.m. This meeting would be held virtually. <br /> <br />Roll call vote – all ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Schedule Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Public Works Building <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear recommended Council select a date on which to hold the <br />groundbreaking ceremony for the new Public Works building. <br /> <br />Weidt made motion, Miron seconded, to schedule the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Public <br />Works facility for Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 3 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll call vote – all ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Set Date for the Grand Opening of the Future Park in Adelaide Landing <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear recommended that Council schedule a grand opening for October <br />6, 7, or 8, or before the regular Council meeting on October 5th for the future park in Adelaide <br />Landing, which is anticipated to be complete at the end of September. Residents would be <br />invited, and all who attend would be asked to social distance. <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule grand opening for October 7, 2020 at 3 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll call vote – all ayes.
