recommends Council approve the proclamation proclaiming October as Toastmasters Month. <br /> <br />K.1 Yellow Ribbon Network Update <br /> <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Council Member Phil Klein will report to Council on the <br />Yellow Ribbon Network activities held recently. <br /> <br />L.1 Reschedule Groundbreaking for Public Works Facility to September 24, 2020 <br /> <br />Staff had scheduled the Public Works groundbreaking ceremony to September 17, 2020, but due to <br />scheduling conflicts, staff recommends Council reschedule the groundbreaking ceremony to <br />Thursday, September 24, 2002 at 3 p.m. <br /> <br />L.2 Schedule Downtown Improvement Project Neighborhood Meeting for September 30, <br />2020 <br /> <br />The project identified in the 5-year Capital Improvement Plan for next year’s improvement <br />project is 2021 Downtown Improvement Project which includes the extension of 147th Street <br />from Finale Avenue to Oneka Boulevard, reconstruction of 147th Street from just west of TH 61 <br />to Finale Avenue, Flay Avenue north of 147th Street, Upper 146th Street, 146th Street, Finley <br />Avenue, and Fitzgerald Avenue. Staff recommends Council schedule a neighborhood meeting <br />for September 30, 2002, at 7 p.m. <br /> <br />L.3 Citywide Cleanup Day on Saturday, October 3, 2020 <br /> <br />The City will hold their annual Fall Citywide Cleanup Day on Saturday, October 3, 2020. From 8 a.m. <br />to noon at the Hugo Public Works Building. <br /> <br />L.4 Set Date for Lions Park Community Workshop for October 8, 12, or 13, 2020 <br /> <br />At the meeting of July 20, 2020, the City Council adopted the Master Plan and approved the <br />Feasibility Study for Lions Park. The design of the park, including the playground and pavilion, <br />is planned to be developed this fall. Staff recommends a community workshop be held to kick <br />off the planning and gather input from residents on the design of the park.
