How else have you been
involved in the community?
I have lived in Hugo with my family for two years. My son plays hockey for WBLHA, and I
have been involved with that. I have attended my HOA board meetings regularly to provide
input and feedback. I am one of the founding members of Hugo Diversity Strong, a group of
Hugo residents looking to build a more inclusive and equitable Hugo community.
Are you interested in helping to design the playground or the pavilion?
Pavillion
How frequently do you use Hugo parks and for what activities?
Our family uses the park often, mostly for the playground, but also for our HDS meetings in
the Oneka room and pavillion
What do you plan to contribute to the design of the park?
I have a couple of ideas I would like to be considered, such as a teen room/center, kitchen, and
digital billboard. But overall, I will contribute as objective and cooperative team player! I look
forward to having this park as a staple in our community, and I anticipate our family will use it
a lot in the future.
Do you have any special interests or skills or qualifications that we should consider in
appointing you to a stakeholder committee?
I have young children, so that for me is my most crucial special interest in the park design. I
can see many years of ice skating, birthday parties, and using the skate park. I also feel
strongly about creating spaces that can bring our communities together, such as a Farmer's
Market or vendor fairs.
On Fri, Oct 16, 2020 at 9:36 AM Shayla Denaway <SDenaway@ci.hugo.mn.us> wrote:
Rebecca Magnuson- playground
