How else have you been <br />involved in the community? <br />My family and I moved to Hugo in June 2020 from White Bear Lake. I’ve been involved with <br />my children’s schools from volunteering and PTA. I have also coach my middle child’s soccer <br />team for the last 2 years. <br />Are you interested in helping to design the playground or the pavilion? <br />I love the idea of another great playground and being a part of that planning process, however, <br />I am completely open to either opportunity! <br />How frequently do you use Hugo parks and for what activities? <br />We frequent public city parks just about every other week. We enjoying walking or biking to <br />Lion’s Park or Frog Hollow Park, my kiddos enjoy playing on the playground equipment. We <br />also like to attend parks (during typical, non-pandemic years) for farmers markets or other <br />community gatherings and sports activities. We also love ice skating in the winter! <br />What do you plan to contribute to the design of the park? <br />I enjoy research and investigative type work so I would be able to do those sort of things to <br />determine the needs of a great playground to make it safe, equally accessible and a desirable <br />area for all members of our community. <br />Do you have any special interests or applicable skills/qualifications that you would like <br />the Council to know about? <br />I’ve been a virtual assistant and online business manager for a little over 2 years so I have <br />experience with all sorts of things like, goal setting, organization, managing workload and <br />online platforms/technology. Prior to that I managed retail stores and owned a small sewing <br />business. The experience in all of that makes me feel confident in a role like this.
