Staff recommends approval of the site plan for the Public Works Facility to be located at <br />Irish Avenue Park. <br />Public Works Director, Scott Anderson, addressed the Planning Commission and emphasized that the <br />Public Works Department strives to be a good neighbor and is willing to be accommodating at the new <br />facility location. Commissioner Derr asked why there is only one proposed entrance point for the <br />facility. Anderson stated that current operations are at one entrance point. Commissioner Arcand <br />asked if the proposed entrance will also be an entrance for the future park. Anderson responded that <br />the road is designed to accommodate for park traffic. Chair Kleissler asked if the Parks Commission <br />would have to sacrifice plans for Irish Avenue Park with the proposed location of the Public Works <br />Facility and Anderson stated that although there is no Master Plan for the park, the Parks Commission <br />is comfortable with the location of the facility. <br />Commissioner Arcand made a motion to approve the site plan for the Public Works Facility to be <br />located at Irish Avenue Park. Seconded by Mulvihill. <br />Aye: Arcand, Derr, Fry, Kleissler, Mulvihill, Tjernlund. <br />Nay: None.
