MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF JANUARY 21, 2020 <br />Chair Weidt called the meeting to order at 5:26 pm. <br />PRESENT: Denaway, Gallivan, Houle, Klein, Petty, Puleo, and Weidt. <br />ABSENT: Petty and Puleo. <br />STAFF: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br />Rachel Juba, Community Development Director <br />Emily Weber, Community Development Assistant <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF DECEMBER 17, 2019 <br />Commissioner Klein made a motion, Commissioner Houle seconded, to approve minutes for the EDA <br />meeting of December 17, 2019. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />REVIEW AND DISCUSS ONEKA COMMONS SKETCH PLAN <br />Staff presented a letter brought to the EDA by the applicant, Peter Stalland, which states that he would <br />like to table the Oneka Commons Sketch Plan application at this time. Due to the letter, the EDA did not <br />discuss the sketch plan in depth. <br />REVIEW AND APPROVE 2020 EDA GOALS <br />Staff reviewed the goals that were discussed at the previous meeting. Staff noted that completing the <br />165a' Street Study and evaluating the results was added to the 2020 goals. The EDA continued their <br />discussion on the future of the city and what they hope to see, but kept the 2020 goals as presented. <br />Commissioner Denaway made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Klein, to approve the 2020 goals <br />as presented by staff. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />UPDATE ON DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT <br />Staff provided an update on downtown redevelopment. This included the recently submitted site plan, <br />preliminary plat, and PUD applications for the Cattle House Restaurant located on the previously <br />marketed city -owned property along Egg Lake. Tony Harmening has signed the purchase agreement for <br />the property and is working with staff on the proposed restaurant. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Commissioner Gallivan made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Klein, to adjourn at 6:08 pm. <br />All ayes.
