<br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF HUGO <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Mike Loeffler, Public Works Lead Worker <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Purchase of Used Skyjack 3226 Scissor Lift <br /> <br />DATE: For the City Council Meeting of December 21, 2020 <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Included in the City’s 2020 Equipment Purchasing Fund is funding for a used scissor lift. Public <br />works staff currently either rents a scissors lift or borrows White Bear Townships Lift for any <br />overhead building maintenance. Some of the applications of a lift are maintenance on overhead <br />garage doors, ceiling furnaces, lights, ceiling fans and running new wires, air lines or water lines <br />to name a few. <br /> <br />Staff has been actively searching for quality used scissor lifts. The following piece of equipment <br />is available through Duke Rentals of Savage, MN: <br /> <br />Skyjack 3226 Scissor Lift (cost $12,500.00) completely reconditioned with 1 year warranty. <br /> <br />Details: Rechargeable 24V DC motor <br /> Variable speed hydraulic drive <br /> Dual holding brakes <br /> Solid rubber, non-marking tires <br /> All motion audible alarm <br /> 26’ raised platform height <br /> 32” width (will fit through standard doors to work in office areas) <br /> <br /> <br />Public Works staff has reviewed this purchase with Finance Director, Ron Otkin. <br /> <br />DESIRED ACTION <br /> <br />Staff recommends that council authorize the purchase of the Skyjack 3226 scissor lift as <br />outlined above for the price of $12,500.00 from Duke Rental.
