<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />G.20 Approve Reduction in Letter of Credit for the 140th Street Extension-Schwieters <br />Addition <br /> <br />The 140th Street Extension as part of the Schwieters 2020 Addition Project has had significant <br />work completed to date. Victor Land Holdings, LLC. is requesting a reduction in the letter of <br />credit. The current letter of credit for the 140th Street Extension is in the amount of $158,468.75. <br />Staff has inspected the work completed to date and recommends Council approve the reduction <br />in the letter of credit to $23,206.25 based on the value of work remaining to be completed. <br /> <br />G.21 Approve Purchase of Used Skyjack 3226 Scissors Lift <br /> <br />Included in the City’s 2020 Equipment Purchasing Fund is funding for a used scissor lift. Public <br />works staff currently either rents a scissors lift or borrows White Bear Townships Lift for any <br />overhead building maintenance. Staff has been researching quality used scissor lifts and found <br />one for sale at Duke Rentals of Savage, MN, completely reconditioned with 1 year warranty. <br />Staff recommends Council approve the purchase of a Skyjack 3226 Scissor Lift for $12,500.00. <br /> <br />G.22 Approve the Retirement/Recycling of 1967 Chevrolet Water Truck (Former Fire <br />Department Tanker) <br /> <br />The Public Works Department is requesting Council approval to transport the 1967 Chevrolet <br />water truck (unit #203-67) to L.A.D. Auto Crushing/Recycling. Due to many mechanical issues, <br />this truck is unable to be DOT certified and cannot be operated on public roadways. This truck <br />has not been operated in over 8 years. The recycling of this truck is expected to generate $600- <br />$700. Staff recommends Council approve the recycling of the 1967 Chevrolet Water Truck <br />through L.A.S Auto Crushing/Recycling. <br /> <br />I.1 Discussion on Vacant Positions on Commissions and Board <br /> <br />There are several vacancies on Hugo’s various Commissions and Board. Economic <br />Development Authority member Joe Houle and Parks Commissioner Shawn Haag are not <br />seeking reappointment. If Maria Mulvihill is approved as a Regular Planning Commission <br />member, there will be a vacancy on the Board of Zoning for a resident member. There is also a <br />vacancy on the Historical Commission. All commissions have vacancies in the alternate <br />position. Staff will discuss with Council how to fill these vacancies. <br /> <br />K.1 Yellow Ribbon Network Update <br /> <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Council Member Phil Klein will report to Council on the <br />Yellow Ribbon Network activities held recently. <br /> <br />L.1 Schedule Goal Setting Session for January 19, 2021 <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council schedule their annual Goal Setting Session for Tuesday, January 19, <br />2021, at 6 p.m. <br /> <br />N.
