We understand that <br />this is not the typical way you may be used <br />to providing public comments, and we <br />know it may be difficult, but we are here <br />to help. <br />City staff is more than happy to accom- <br />modate for anyone wishing to participate, <br />visit www.ci.hugo.mn.us/participate <br />for more information. <br />ed WIMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION �,-I <br />GENERAL ELECTION IS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2020 <br />COVID-19 and Polling Sites <br />Face coverings must be worn at all polling <br />locations, and social distancing of six -feet <br />is required inside the building and while <br />waiting in line. Due to limited space in <br />the buildings, it is likely lines will extend <br />outdoors. Please keep the weather in mind <br />and dress appropriately when heading out <br />to vote. <br />If you don't know where to vote, <br />contact City Hall or check the <br />Secretary of State's website at <br />https://polifinder.sos.state.mn.us/. <br />Other Ways to Vote <br />• Vote in person on election day at <br />your polling location. <br />• Vote in person at the Washington <br />County Service Center between the <br />dates of Friday, September 18, 2020, <br />and Monday, November 2, 2020. <br />Vote by mail by first completing the <br />application requesting a ballot. It can <br />be filled out electronically on the <br />Secretary of State's website at https:// <br />www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/ <br />or contact Washington County or the <br />Hugo City Clerk for a paper application. <br />Once the application is received, a ballot <br />will be sent back Ballots must be post <br />marked on or before November 3rd. <br />Pre -Registration <br />Pre -register to save time on Election Day. <br />You can register online on the Secretary <br />of State's website or contact Washington <br />County or City Hall for an application. <br />The last day to pre -register for the <br />General Election is October 13, 2020. <br />Registration can also be done at the polls. <br />Local Election on Your Ballot <br />You will be voting for Mayor, Council Member -at -Large, and Council Member Ward 2 (if you live in Ward 2). Current terms <br />expire on December 31, 2020. Council Member terms are four year, and the Mayor term is two years. <br />Become an Election Judge! <br />The City is looking for Election Judges. This is a great way learn more about the election process and support <br />your community! Pay is $12/hour. Contact City Clerk Michele Lindau at 651-762-6315 for more information. <br />
