Screening of applicants and recommendation of semi-finalists <br />In Task III the project team, under the direction of Sharon Klumpp and Patty Heminover, will <br />screen the candidates against the criteria within the position and candidate profile and <br />develop a list of semi-finalists for recommendation to the City Administrator. We will then <br />narrow the list to a group of 10-12 semifinalists for review and select finalists on the basis of <br />written candidate questionnaires, early due diligence information, consultant phone interviews <br />and recorded, one-way video interviews. <br />Another unique aspect of our recruitment process is our use of online recorded interviews <br />for the screening process. Responses are timed and questions are not provided in advance. <br />This tool allows our t eam to develop a more comprehensive understanding of each <br />candidate’s ability to “think on their feet,” as well as their personal and professional <br />demeanor. Our team will provide an online link for the City Administrator and designated <br />City staff, as well as others who have input into the hiring decision, allowing them to <br />review and later discuss the recorded responses. This provides your organization with <br />additional candidate assessment tools that can be customized to fit the unique needs of <br />the City of Hugo. <br />Throughout the process, you will have access to our Master Applicant List (MAL), which <br />will provide pertinent data for each applicant. <br />Project milestone Deliverables Timeline <br />Applicant screening and <br />recommendation of semi- <br />finalists <br />− Baker Tilly compares applications to the approved <br />candidate profile, developed in our searchable <br />applicant database <br />− Most promising applicants are asked to complete <br />candidate questionnaires and provide due diligence <br />information <br />− Media, internet and social media scan for information <br />pertinent to future employment <br />− Top 10-12 candidates identified as semi-finalists <br />− Semi-Finalist Report is prepared, including the <br />brochure, master applicant list, cover letter and <br />resume of candidates to be considered <br />− Baker Tilly and the City Administrator review video <br />interviews <br />− Project team co-leaders meet with the City <br />Administrator to review recommended semi- <br />finalists <br />− City Administrator selects finalists for on-site <br />interviews <br />− Finalists complete candidate management style <br />assessment, responses are reviewed and interview <br />questions are developed <br />2-3 weeks
