5 <br />Qualifications and Experience <br />The Finance Director position requires a Bachelor’s degree <br />in finance, public administration, or business <br />management or a related field, Master’s degree preferred, <br />and five years of increasingly responsible financial <br />management experience. Equivalent education and <br />experience will be considered. Qualified candidates will <br />demonstrate experience supervising professional and <br />technical staff and providing policymakers with financial <br />information and recommendations involving the <br />evaluation and direction of governmental services and <br />resources. Certified Public Accountant or Certified <br />Government Finance Officer designation is a plus. <br />Compensation and Benefits <br />With a class and compensation study underway, the City of Oakdale anticipates that the new 2021 salary range for the <br />Finance Director will be $116,072 to $144,206, +/- depending on qualifications and experience. The City offers a <br />competitive benefits program including health and dental insurance options, life insurance, short and long -term <br />disability coverage, and paid time off (PTO).
