RESOLUTION NO.2021-32 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />FOR THE NEW PAVILION AT LIONS PARK <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to direction by the Council, staff along with Hagen, Christensen & <br />McIlwain (HCM) Architects has prepared plans and specifications for the construction of a new <br />pavilion at Lions Park (5524 UPPER 146TH ST. N), and has presented such plans and <br />specifications to the Council for approval; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is on file at City Hall, are hereby <br />approved. <br />1. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and <br />the Finance and Commerce an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved plans and specifications. <br />2. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less <br />than three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to be <br />done, and shall state that bids will be received on-line through QuestCDN vBidTM until <br />the date and time set for opening bids. Immediately following expiration of the time for <br />receiving bids, representatives of the City of Hugo will publicly view at an online bid <br />opening meeting. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of <br />the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. <br />No bids will be considered unless accompanied by a bid security in an amount of 5 <br />percent of the bidder's maximum bid price. <br />Council members voting AYE: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt <br />Council members voting NAY: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this May 3, 2021. <br />� 41� j R <br />Tom Weidt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
