TOUGH MUDDER Twin Cities <br />2021 Event Operations Plan <br />Safety <br />The health and safety of all participants, spectators,staff and others on-site throughout Tough Mudder <br />Twin Cities 2021 is a priority of the Event Team. <br />Responsibility for managing incidents across the event site rests with the Tough Mudder Event Team, <br />led by the Event Director. <br />COVID-19 <br />Over the previous months, a dedicated team has worked judiciously to create a robust relaunch plan <br />for our events. This plan has been designed to keep all participants, volunteers, and staff safe, meet <br />strict government requirements specific to each city that hosts us, and bring Tough Mudder events back <br />to as many people as safely possible. For specific changes please reference our COVID-19 site changes <br />in Appendix D. <br />Occupational Health and Safety <br />Tough Mudder uses the following protocol to make sure the event site is as safe as possible and to <br />minimize the risk of harm to any individual: <br />●Guidelines have been developed and will be implemented at the event, including: <br />o Loading and Unloading Vehicles <br />o Setting Up and Packing Down Infrastructure <br />o Use of Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs) <br />●In the event of an incident, one or more experienced team members have been designated as <br />‘safety officer’ to assist in the management of the incident. <br />●A series of checks are carried out to ensure the site is safe before gates are opened to <br />participants and spectators. <br />Power and Fuel <br />Approximate power usage: 12 x 2000W generators, 2 x 3000W generators and 30 x 6000W light towers. <br />Said generators will be gas or diesel powered. All fuel cells will be stored on/in leak proof containment <br />pans or storage. <br />9/21
