The project includes improvements to 147"' Street from just west of TH 61 to Finale Avenue, 147"' Street from Finale <br />Avenue to Oneka Parkway (new construction), Flay Avenue north of 1471h Street to its existing termination point, Upper 146t" Street <br />from Finale Avenue to Fitzgerald Avenue, 1461" Street from Finale Avenue to Fitzgerald Avenue, Finley Avenue from Upper 146t' <br />Street to 145t' Street, Fitzgerald Avenue from 14r Street to 146"' Street, and Oneka Parkway at 147"' Street (intersection and turn <br />lanes) in 2021. The project improvements will consist of constructing the new section of 147"' Street and reconstruct the existing <br />roadways, adding concrete curb and gutter, drainage/storm sewer improvements, minor subgrade corrections, bituminous paving, and <br />a trail addition along 14r Street. <br />The City will hold a second neighborhood meeting to update residents of the public improvement process, assessment process, and <br />provide estimated project costs and an opportunity for residents to share concerns that they would like addressed in the potential <br />design. <br />Please join us to discuss this project at a Neighborhood Meeting scheduled for: <br />Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. <br />You can attend this meeting in person, where social distancing accommodations will be made. You are also welcome to attend the <br />meeting via Zoom by logging on to httcs://zoom.us/join and enter Meeting ID 949 2596 6707 and Passcode 349820. <br />There will also be a public hearing for this project as noted below: <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE <br />2021 DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />MOND", MARCH 1, 2021 @ 7:00 PM <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Hugo will meet remotely pursuant to MN Statute Sec. 13D.021 to consider the making of <br />the Downtown Improvement Project. Those wishing to attend the public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. March 1. 2021, can log in to <br />httcs://zoom.us/loin and enter Meeting ID: 814 3973 9401, Passcode: 523083, or attend the virtual meeting at City Hall. Such persons <br />wishing to comment on the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting. Comments can also be submitted in writing to City <br />Clerk Michele Lindau prior to the meeting. <br />Improvements made would assess benefited properties for all or a portion of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, <br />Chapter 429 and pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§ 429.011 to 429.111. The estimated cost of the improvement is $3,656,800. A reasonable <br />estimate of the impact of the assessment will be available at the hearing.
