Ms. Rachel Juba
April 5, 2021
Page 2
Ditch 3. Water quality requirements are met by a combination of both the existing Hugo
Gardens stormwater pond and water reuse that is proposed for Lions Park. The Hugo
Gardens stormwater pond was oversized in order to provide the stormwater treatment for
Lions Park and the City street reconstruction project. Water reuse is proposed to provide any
irrigation that may be required for Lion's Park and will be constructed congruently with the
street construction project and Lion's Park.
Additional stormwater plan and model comments have been provided to applicant and will
need to be addressed in future submittals for documentation and permitting purposes.
Since the project will be bid jointly with the 2021 Downtown Improvement Project, an overall
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan for both projects will be included in the 2021 Downtown
Improvement Project plans.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide comments on this project. Additional comments may be
necessary following the review of the responses to these. If you have any questions, please do
not hesitate to contact me at 651-286-8463.
Sincerely,
WSB
Mark Erichson, PE
City Engineer
cc: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director (email only)
Liz Finnegan, Senior Engineering Technician (email only)
