SWEEP UP
ANY FERTILIZER ACCIDENTALLY APPLIED ON WALKS/PAVEMENTS/ETC. TO PREVENT MOVEMENT TO
STORM SEWERS, LAKES & STREAMS. WATER THE SITE THOROUGHLY AFTER FERTILIZING TO
DISSOLVE THE NUTRIENTS.
ALL FERTILIZATION SHALL BE CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO THE RESTORATION OPERATIONS. REFER
TO SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
PLANTING NOTES:
PLANTING BEDS SHALL BE PREPARED IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:
• REMOVE ALL EXISTING VEGETATION AND GROUNDCOVER. TREES SHALL HAVE THE STUMPS
REMOVED OR GROUND DOWN.
• SPRAY THE PLANTING BED AREA WITH ROUND -UP DURING WARM, DRY WEATHER. LET IT SIT FOR
A MINIMUM OF TWO WEEKS AND THEN THOROUGHLY REMOVE ALL REMAINING GROUNDCOVER
VEGETATION AND ROOT SYSTEMS.
• ROTOTILL THE PLANTING BED TO LOOSEN UP THE SOIL. RAKE SMOOTH WHEN DONE AND
REMOVE ALL ROCKS AND DEBRIS ENCOUNTERED.
• TRENCH THE EDGE OF THE PLANTING BEDS OR INSTALL LANDSCAPE EDGING TO DELINEATE
PLANTING BED FROM TURF AREAS AS INDICATED ON PLANS.
• SET PLANTS OUT ACCORDING TO PLAN AND ADJUST SPACING AS NEEDED FOR BEST FIT TO BE
REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO PLANTING.
• INSTALL ALL PLANTS AS PER PLANTING PLANS AND DETAILS.
• DO NOT ALLOW PLANTS TO DRY OUT DURING INSTALLATION.
• LIGHTLY TAMP SOILS AROUND THE PLANTS AFTER PLANTING.
• WATER PLANTING BED THOROUGHLY. STICK A HOSE IN THE SOIL AROUND THE BASE OF THE
PLANTED VEGETATION TO IDENTIFY AIR/SINK HOLES. FILL IN WITH SOIL AS NECESSARY.
• INSTALL WOOD MULCH TO 4" DEPTH. PULL MULCH AWAY FROM STEMS/TRUNKS OF ALL PLANTS
AND FORM A WELL AROUND THE BASE OF THE PLANTS AS INDICATED IN THE PLANTING DETAIL.
• WATER PLANTING BED THOROUGHLY SO WATER SATURATES THE MULCH LAYER.
• THOROUGHLY WATER THE PLANTING BED 2 TO 3 TIMES THE FIRST WEEK OF PLANTING AND 1 TO
2 TIMES PER WEEK (AS NEEDED) UNTIL MAINTENANCE PERIOD IS COMPLETE.
wsb
WSB PROJECT NO.:
016969-000
SCALE:
AS SHOWN
PLAN BY
SN
Z
O
W
z
0
U
w
0
w
Q
0
0
z
z
o
w
U_ w } _
w w
a-0Q
z°Qd
Q :E - U o
J
c0 z
_ Z
00,
Z
Qw <wo
2 W Z d
} U H
U- U — W Q
o
3: w w
ui U 5 H
oUncu-
ma-u,o
w w U z U
ui w w
_ 13 0 U Q
o J J
z
O
O
D
DESIGN BY:
CA
CHECK BY:
CA
O
CD
GENERAL
z
0
Z
U_
J
0
N
0
N
0
W
Q
0
CONSTRUCTION
NOTES
C.P.
016969-000
SHEET
L1.1
