MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF JANUARY 19. 2021 <br />Meeting held remotely pursuant Minn. Stat. Sec. 1313.021 <br />Chair Weidt called the meeting to order at 5:33 pm. <br />PRESENT: Denaway, Gallivan, Klein, Petty, Puleo, Weidt. <br />ABSENT: <br />Note: Commissioner Petty was not present at role call but later joined at 5:40 pm. <br />STAFF: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br />Rachel Juba, Community Development Director <br />Emily Weber, Community Development Assistant <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE EDA MEETING OF DECEMBER 15, 2020 <br />Commissioner Klein made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Denaway, to approve the December <br />15, 2020 EDA meeting minutes. <br />Ayes: Denaway, Gallivan, Klein, Puleo, Weidt. <br />Nay: None. Motion carried. <br />APPROVE 2021 GOALS <br />At their last meeting, the EDA discussed the goals they would like to set and achieve in 2021. Staff <br />took their recommendations and presented the updated goals to the EDA. The Commissioners <br />discussed the goals as presented. Commissioner Klein further discussed downtown redevelopment <br />and would like to see the involvement of the beautification committee. The EDA generally agreed. <br />Commissioner Klein made a motion to approve the 2021 EDA goals as presented, seconded by <br />Commissioner Gallivan. <br />Ayes: Denaway, Gallivan, Klein, Petty, Puleo, Weidt. <br />Nay: None. Motion carried. <br />REVIEW 2020 ANNUAL REPORT <br />Staff presented the 2020 EDA annual report. The review highlighted the development that occurred <br />in 2020 and some projects to look forward to in 2021. The report also emphasizes the City's response <br />to the COVID-19 pandemic and the purchase agreement currently in place for the City -owned <br />property along Egg Lake. The EDA provided comments and edits to be made to the annual report and <br />staff will make the corrections. <br />
