Background Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission Meeting of March 18, 2020 Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm Approve Minutes from February 19, 2020 Meeting Staff recommends approval of the minutes of the Parks Commission meeting of February 19, 2020. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED MINUTES. Proposed Public Works Facility Mayor Tom Weidt and Public Works Director Scott Anderson will discuss a possible expansion of the Public Works facility. The current Public Works facility is unable to accommodate long term needs beyond 15 years at its current location. A study was done that evaluated construction of a brand new facility which would utilize 10-15 acres of the 125 acre Irish Avenue Park. A neighborhood meeting was held on March 4, 2020. Mayor Weidt and Anderson will present a background on the park, summarize the facility study, and provide an update on the neighborhood meeting. Goodview Avenue Trail Facility Study In November 2019, the City applied for funding for a partnership project with Living Healthy Washington County through the Statewide Health Improvement Program. The project action plan was recently approved and the contract was executed. With the funds, a concept plan and feasibility study will be drafted for a trail near Goodview Avenue between Egg Lake Road and 145th Street North. Staff will present the project plan for your discussion and authorization. THE ACTION PLAN, WSB's WORK PLAN, AND THE TRAIL PLAN ARE ATTACHED.
