Minutes <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br />Meeting of August 19, 2020 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />Meeting held remotely pursuant to Minn. Stat. Sec. 13D.021 <br />Present: Roger Clarke, Shawn Haag, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub, Ranell Tennyson <br />Absent: Cathy Moore-Arcand <br />Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br />Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Secretary <br />Strub called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />1. Approval of Minutes from the July 15, 2020 Meeting <br />Clarke made a motion, Strub seconded to approve the minutes of the July 15, 2020 Parks Commission <br />Minuets. <br />Ayes: Roger Clark, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub <br />Abstained: Mat Rauschendorfer, Shawn Haag, Ranell Tennyson <br />Motion carried. <br />2. Goodview Avenue Trail Feasibility Study <br />Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner, reviewed the feasibility study that was authorized at the April 15, 2020 Parks <br />meeting. A wetland delineation was needed and has been completed. <br />The City of Hugo received $10,000 in funding through the Statewide Health Improvement Program Active <br />Living Partnership with Living Healthy Washington County program. A 10% match is required and funds need <br />to be spent by October 31, 2020. <br />Bailey Krause, WSB Landscape Architect gave a presentation showing the trail concepts. <br />An on street route from Glenbrook Avenue N / 1441" Street N to Geneva Avenue N was proposed as an <br />alternate to Goodview Avenue between 14511 Street and Geneva Avenue.
