2019 Goals <br />Parks, Recreation and Open Space Commission <br />Approved by the Parks Commission at their December 19, 2018 meeting <br />•Address trail and greenway connectivity with new developments. <br />• Plan greenway corridors. <br />•Look for opportunities to fill the gaps in the trail network. <br />• Provide for the recreation needs of our diverse population. <br />•Strengthen and build partnerships to efficiently provide recreation options. <br />•Evaluate existing recreation programs and ammenities and explore new options with a <br />focus on water access. <br />• Evaluate vegetation management for Irish Avenue Park and Clearwater Creek Preserve. <br />• Expand parking and access at Irish Avenue Park and Clearwater Creek Preserve. <br />• Continually inspect existing parks to maintain a list of assests and their condition. <br />• Enhance and maintain existing trails and parks. <br />•Review and finalize the feasibility study. <br />•Engage with the City Council and community to look at next steps. <br />•Actively utilize the Comprehensive Plan as a planning tool. <br />• Respond to resident input. <br />• Review development applications with respect to the Parks, Trails, and Open Space <br />Plan <br />
