Minutes <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br />Meeting of November 17, 2021 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />Present: Roger Clarke, Cathy Moore-Arcand, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Meredith St. Pierre, <br />Ranell Tennyson. <br />Absent: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director, Emily McGinnity <br />Staff Present: Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Secretary <br />Chair Clarke called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />1. Approval of Minutes from the October 13, 2021 Meeting <br />St. Pierre made a motion, Tennyson seconded to approve the minutes of the October 13, 2021 Parks <br />Commission meeting. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />2. Hardwood Creek Regional Trail Feasibility Study <br />Conner Schaefer, Washington County Public Works Planner, presented the preliminary concept plans for <br />the extension of the Hardwood Creek Trail. The City of Hugo did a feasibility study in 2019 with <br />partnership from Washington County and Wilson Tool to determine how the trail could be connected to <br />reginal trails, parks and other trail systems. Washington County reviewed this study to determine <br />further research was need and hired Aliant to do a more comprehensive feasibility study to continue <br />with the planning process. Hardwood Creek Regional Trail from 1301" St to 120t" Street. Preliminary <br />concept plans were drafted with the regional standard of a 10 foot wide trail. Further planning will <br />combine public input and meetings will be held with residents, Home Owners Association, Wilson Tool <br />International, the City of Hugo and Washington County to finalize concept plans.
