Beaver Ponds Playground Replacement <br />The Parks Commission included funding their CIP for 2021 to replace the playground in Beaver Ponds Park <br />with the equipment currently located in Lions Park. Improvements will also be made to the hardscapes and <br />landscaping in the park. An estimate will be provided from St. Croix recreation for the installation and staff <br />will review other estimates. Staff is recommending approval of improvements to Beaver Ponds Park. <br />AN AERIAL OF BEAVER PONDS PARK IS ATTACHED. <br />2021 Recreation Programs <br />Staff has received a request from the Forest Lake YMCA to hold Park Play Days at Hanifl Fields Athletic Park. <br />Washington County Library is planning on holding Story Hours in multiple Hugo parks this summer. Staff <br />recommends approval of a $2,500 contribution to the YMCA for Park Play Days and discussion on future <br />programming. <br />PROGRAM INFORMATION IS ATTACHED. <br />Upcoming Meetings <br />At the City Council meeting of March 1, 2021, the City Council discussed holding their meetings in person at <br />City Hall starting in April. An update will be provided on the Lions Park timelines.
