Sunset Lake Property Review <br /> Candice Amber, Landscape Architect at WSB Engineering presented the Sunset Lake Park Property <br /> newest sketch plans. <br /> Previous concept sketches were drafted but needed revision after a neighborhood meeting providing <br /> feedback with request to scale back, reduce parking spots,eliminate the shelter, not include access for <br /> winter ice fishing and request for no motorized boat launch. DNR research was requested/reviewed on <br /> water quality, depth,fishing,freeze out, animal species and restocking. A traffic study was done to <br /> determine usage frequent, accessibility and safety. With these discussions a new preferred concept <br /> plan was sketched for tonight's discussion. <br /> The proposed sketch shows entrance at Homestead Ave with fewer parking spots, a fishing pier, picnic <br /> area and boulder outcropping. <br /> Open floor discussion included: removing fishing pier with overall water depts of 5feet, handicap <br /> gradual trail entrance to lake, speed bump, boulder outcropping would eliminate vehicles and <br /> snowmobiles in the winter and continuation of road access to 125th Street. <br /> All Commission members agreed on changes to be revised for January 19th, 2022 Goal setting meeting. <br /> 4. 2021 Annual Report <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner presented the Annual Report. <br /> The Report included Sunset Lake park planning, Park dedication fees being brought up to current market <br /> value,years programming/recreation, Ongoing Oneka trail study, reviewed 1215t St subdivision park fee <br /> and land dedication, Discussed the Meadows of Hugo subdivision proposed park fee and land dedication <br /> fees, approving Oneka Lake Reserve park land/fee dedication, Lions park planning and construction <br /> while reviewing timeline of completion dates. Structure should be finished in April 2022 and <br /> landscaping/play amenities will be started in the spring. <br /> Moore-Arcand made a motion, McGinnity seconded to approve the annual report as presented. <br /> All Ayes.
