The property was purchased with a DNR grant of$305,000 with restrictions on the property to <br /> protect the natural and scenic resources, keep safe for public use, manage vegetation as feasible and <br /> to keep the property open to the public. Restrictions include no active park purposes such as soccer <br /> fields, baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, skateboards, ice rinks or other similar active park <br /> purposes. In 2005 a master concept plan was put together after neighborhood meetings that included <br /> a picnic shelter, parking, fishing dock and a variety of trails. <br /> Commissioners discussed walking the property in the spring and requested guidance from the <br /> conservation district. <br /> 7.
