RESOLUTION NO.2022-25 <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT <br />FOR THE 140TH STREET EXTENSION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Hugo previously directed the City Engineer to advertise for <br />bids for the above -referenced project, and <br />WHEREAS, bids were publicly received and opened on April 26, 2022. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hugo, <br />Minnesota, as follows: <br />All bids for the construction of the 14V' Street Extension Project have been <br />received and are tabulated on the attached summary. <br />2. The bid of Miller Excavating, Inc., in the amount of $404,333.33, for the <br />construction of said improvements, is in accordance with the plans and <br />specifications and advertisement for bids and is the lowest responsible bid. <br />3. The Mayor and Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and <br />on behalf of the City of Hugo. <br />4. The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return <br />forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit <br />of the successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a <br />contract has been executed. <br />Council members voting AYE: Klein, Miron, Petryk, Strub, Weidt <br />Council members voting NAY: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 2nd day of May 2022. <br />Tom Wei t, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
