Agenda Number <br />CITY OF HUGO COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br />PLANNING AND ZONING <br />APPLICATION STAFF REPORT <br />TO: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br />FROM: Emily Weber, Community Development Assistant <br />SUBJECT: White Bear Lake School District Site plan request to allow an addition on the <br />existing Oneka Elementary School located at 4888 Heritage Parkway North. <br />DATE: May 12, 2022 for the City Council Meeting of May 16, 2022 <br />ZONING: Planned Unit Development (PUD) <br />60-DAY REVIEW DEADLINE: May 28, 2022 <br />1.PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE: <br />At its April 28, 2022, meeting the Planning Commission considered the request. They agreed that <br />the request meet the ordinance standards to approve the site plan. The Planning Commission <br />unanimously recommended approval of the resolution approving the site plan to the City <br />Council. <br />2.DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br />The applicant is seeking approval of an approximately 10,000 square foot addition to the existing <br />Oneka Elementary School located at 4888 Heritage Parkway North. <br />3.CONTEXT: <br />A.Surrounding Land Use and Zoning <br />The properties to the north, west, east, and south are zoned PUD and are part of the Waters Edge <br />residential development. The underlying land use is Public/Quasi-Public. <br />G.9
