RESOLUTION NO. 2022 — 55 <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING <br />PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />FOR THE 2022 ONEKA PARKWAY IMPROVEMENTS <br />CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN <br />WHEREAS estimated costs have been calculated for the 2022 Oneka Parkway Improvements <br />consisting of roadway improvements on Oneka Parkway from Frenchman Road (CSAH 8) to <br />Heritage Parkway. The estimated cost for such improvements is $2,600,000. That portion of the <br />project that is assessable is the roadway improvements with estimated costs is $381,500.00; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hugo, <br />Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. The portion of the cost of the roadway improvement is hereby declared to be $2,600,000; <br />and the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited property owners is declared to <br />be $381,500.00. <br />2. Assessments shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 5 <br />years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, <br />2023 and shall bear interest at the rate of 4.25 percent per annum from the date of the <br />adoption of the assessment resolution. <br />3. The city clerk, with the assistance of the city engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper <br />amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or <br />parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by <br />law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection. <br />4. The clerk shall upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the council <br />thereof. <br />Council members voting AYE: Klein, Miron, Petryk, Strub, Weidt <br />Council members voting NAY: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this <br />Torn W eidt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: 1%, <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
