Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for August 1, 2022 <br />Page 3 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Jeff Maas <br /> <br />Jeff Maas was hired by the City of Hugo on July 24, 2006, as a Public Works Worker. Adoption <br />of the Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review for Public Works Worker Jeff <br />Maas. <br /> <br />Approve Six-Month Performance Review for Jennifer Compton <br /> <br />At its February 7, 2022, meeting, Council approved the hiring of Jennifer Compton <br />as the new Finance and Public Works Administrative Assistant beginning February 14, 2022. <br />Jennifer had completed the six-month probation period. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the 6-month performance review for Jennifer Compton. <br /> <br />Approve Appointment of Steve Andress to the Planning Commission <br /> <br />Steve Andress had applied for a commissioner position on the Planning Commission. There were <br />currently three vacancies as regular commissioners and one as an alternate commissioner. Steve <br />had actively volunteered in the past for the Tour de Hugo bike run and the Lions Park committee. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the appointment of Steve Andress as a commissioner <br />on the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Approve Temporary Liquor License for the Lions Club for Ribfest September 24, 2022 <br /> <br />The Hugo Lions Club had applied for a temporary On-Sale Liquor License to serve alcohol at <br />their Rib Fest on September 24, 2022. Alcohol would be served in an enclosed area and a deputy <br />would be present. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the temporary On-Sale Liquor <br />License for the Hugo Lions Club for Rib Fest on September 24. 2022. <br /> <br />Approve Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit for Pheasants Forever at Wild Wings <br /> <br />Pheasants Forever had applied for a Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit to hold raffles during their <br />Clays for Conservation event to be held at Wild Wings on August 28, 2022. The Minnesota <br />Gambling Control Board would issue the permit after approval by the City. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit for Pheasants Forever for <br />August 28, 2022, at Wild Wings Game Farm. <br /> <br />Approve Donation to the Hugo Fire Department from the Hugo American Legion <br /> <br />The Hugo American Legion wanted to donate $1,000 to the Hugo Fire Department for <br />equipment and training. Donations to the Fire Department needed to be approved by the City <br />Council. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the $1,000 donation from the Hugo <br />American Legion to the Hugo Fire Department. <br /> <br /> <br />
